Database Hosting
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Express on Linux, with your own sa login and a public port. Connect from SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Studio or any driver as <address>,<port>. Express limits each database to 10 GB and uses up to 1.4 GB of memory for its buffer pool and up to four cores; the plans are sized to that. For backups you can restore cleanly, run BACKUP DATABASE to a .bak file: a snapshot of a running server's data files is not guaranteed to be consistent.

Stock images ship a published default superuser password, which means every server built from them shares one. Ours are generated per server at creation. It sounds small; it is the difference between a private database and a public one.
Tiers run from a 256 MB Valkey cache up to 14 GB of memory and 100 GB of NVMe for PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Those figures are checked against what the hardware can honour before a plan goes on sale.
Databases are reached on a port by an application rather than through a browser, so these plans carry no proxy slot - a reverse proxy in front of Postgres would be a feature you could not use, and we would rather not sell one.
Backup slots on every tier, taken on demand or on a schedule. A backup nobody has restored is a hypothesis, so restoring is a button rather than a support conversation.
It is your own database server, managed in the sense that it is installed, configured and secured for you - and yours in the sense that you get the files, the console and the ability to tune it.
Yes. Each plan carries an allocation, and you connect on that host and port with the credentials the panel generated.
You can schedule them from the panel. We do not silently take copies of your data on your behalf without telling you.
MySQL 8.4 LTS comes with a root password, an application database and an application user, all generated for the server. SQL Server 2022 Express comes with its own sa password and a database created for you and set as sa's default, so SQL Server Management Studio opens straight into it - the server name is the host and port separated by a comma. Express limits each database to 10 GB.
Valkey is the open-source fork of Redis and speaks the same protocol, so any Redis client or library connects to it unchanged. Each server is password-protected and saves to disk, so a restart does not empty it.
